Reasons to photograph buildings

I like to photograph buildings. For one it is very hard to capture the essence of a building and to do so without having the other buildings around it detract is hard.

Most buildings I have pictures of are not historical in the classic sense. They are just very good and interesting buildings.

I have photos of some well known historical buildings:

  • Buckingham Palace, England
  • Buckingham Palace, England
  • Windsor Castle, England
  • U.S. Grant House in Vancouver, Washington
  • House in the Bahamas
  • Thatch house in Buckinghamshire
  • Railroad house in Texas

Of course one of the biggest buildings in the world (and it was when completed in 1943) is the Pentagon. This was taken out the left side of a northbound 727 during a trip to DC. I always ask for a window seat in the rear in order to photograph without having a wing in the picture.

However, most of my pictures are really very interesting houses that I have come across in my many holidays.

All photographs are available for purchase.
